A green BMW with black racing stripes pulls into the back of an elementary school in Berlin, Germany. The car stops, the older sibling of our younger subject un-buckles his seat belt, opens the car door, and steps out of the car. Our younger subject un-buckles her seat belt, and pushes the front passenger seat up so she can make her way out of the two-door car. She climbs out and as she does her left foot is caught in the seat belt. She struggles to break free of the safety device and falls out of the car. Her head hits the corner of an iron gate that leads to a lower floor of the school. Blood trickles down our young subject's forehead. Brother and Father come to her aid and examine the extent of the injury. It is determined that medical attention will need to be sought but the young subject is stubourn and insists on going nowhere but home.
At home, the mother examines the still bleeding head wound and further makes the case for medical attention. Our young subject, through tears, insists that she dooes not want to see a doctor. The head wound is cleaned, our young subject instructed to lie down and rest. She is informed that there will be a scar on her forehead for the rest of her life. Our young subject ponders this and holds the bandage to her head. Twenty years later, there is a faint scar on the older subject's forehead and an impending sense of doom when she climbs out of the back seat of two-door cars.
