stuck
khalid has his meeting with the U.S. embassy yesterday in Jordan to approve his visa. we thought it would go smoothly, but since the last time he went through this process was before 9/11, he has to have homeland security do a background check which takes an indefinite amount of time. so he's stuck there for god knows how long. and i am stuck on the other side of the world without him. he called and told me just as i was picking out what i would wear for his homecoming on wednesday.
i know many people go through much worse separations, but i'm still sad. yeah...i'm just sad.

Aww, man! I'm sure it will all go smoothly, though.

It's unfortunate Khalid has to go through that - hope they get the background check done quickly so he can get back!

Cousin, just because he's stuck doesn't mean we should be stuck with your empty blog page ;p
