shaken

i officially felt my first earthquake yesterday. i was sitting on the couch and i kind of felt trembling for a second or two. i had a minor freakout and asked khalid if he felt it too, which he did. but, coincidentally, at the same time, a large truck making lots of noise was passing on our street. while many a truck has passed before and the couch has not shaken, we decided it must have been the heavy truck anyway. but nope. khalid sent me a news article today confirming that what we felt was a 4.4 magnitude quake, about 40 miles NW of san francisco.

wow. i mean, i know it was tiny (thank goodness), but i've never experienced anything like that before. i'm always amazed at how powerless humans are against natural forces, but i've only ever experienced natural forces related to weather. this is a whole new ballgame...the earth moved. as i sat on the couch, the earth moved. crazy.

Yipe. Crazy.

It was a little wiggle :)

i read about that in the paper-- i wondered if you had felt it!

Congratulations! Look at it as your egg under the tire.
