forsythia

i was walking into work this morning and started smelling something really fragrant. when i snapped myself out of my thoughts, i realized that i was surrounded by tons of gorgeous forsythia. they always remind me of viriginia, english class in 7th grade, and cynthia. god, it's really a crime to be so absorbed in yourself that you don't even notice the beautiful world blooming around you, and in the blink of an eye, spring will be gone.

I love that picture!

english class in 7th grade? with that teacher with all the different colored grammar worksheets? what's that about?

we had such a weird spring-- alternating hot and cold spells so randomly-- that my "forcynthia" never bloomed as nicely as this picture! beautiful! what a cheerful plant.

yeah, there was that poem in our english book that just had the word forsythia written over and over, but the letters were written out in the shape of the plant. i really have no clue why it has stuck with me for so many years.

English class in seventh grade? Was that Mrs. Hamilton? The teacher that always smelled??
