after 11 years...

thank you mrs. johnson and mrs. leeper.
for had you not assigned that ever so painful research project on george gershwin, i would not have gotten the correct answer to the question of the day at evanston creamery, and i would not have gotten a free ice cream. so all of you out there who think your high school research projects were utterly useless - most of you are right. but some of you will get a free ice cream.

btw, the question was "in what movie did george gershwin's song "'s wonderful" appear?"
answer: an american in paris

yay for you! i still haven't cashed in on either my rembrandt or wagner information (wait, i don't HAVE any wagner information anymore... i might never have, in fact) but i'm super excited you got free ice cream out of yours!

that's one of my favorite movies. I love Gene Kelley and his dream ballet sequences....

What flavor did you get?

i always try a bunch of different flavors, but always go back to the old standard...rainbow sherbet.

hmmmm... so i've been thinking for quite some time that i need to start watching all these classic musicals, as i'm missing out on a very important piece of 20th century american culture. but now i see that this should be priority 1--not just for the culture and all that, but because it will feed my addiction. yay for free ice cream! :)

I found a few gelato shops in Miami...not as good as the real thing in Italy, but better than ice cream! Yes, Virginia, it is possible.
