gone free

i wonder what michael jackson is going to do this evening? i also wonder why i care.
we postponed our subgroup meeting to hear the verdict. when it looked like the jury would take a little longer, we took a computer into the meeting with us to continually reload cnn.com.
"so when i added rhodium, the spectrum showed -"
"SHUT UP!!! he's acquitted."
we all paused for a moment to take it in. after about 10 seconds, we all realized that the verdict really meant nothing to us and would have no effect on our lives, and so we moved on with our meeting.
but i still wonder what he'll do tonite.

I stayed late at work to watch it on CNN, just to be a part of the groupthink. You're right, it has zero bearing on our lives. The rhodium bit kills me, though.

You mean you didn't sign up to have a text message sent to you? Yeah, me either.
He's probably going to celebrate with milk and cookies in bed, maybe invite a little boy or two over - it's really "quite charming." (Sorry, I've seen that VH1 special one too many times.)
