home sweet home
it's really amazing how much better it is to be at home.
this morning i stayed home from work with papers to read so as to keep my mom company for a short while, before heading in here this afternoon. i did, in fact, get work done - probably more than i would have around here since there is no internet. but in between i worked on our 3,000 piece puzzle of the world map (dear god, will it ever be finished!?!!) and read my book - the latest by anne tyler, the amateur marriage.
i used to think i would never be a stay at home mom. now i don't know about the mom part, but the stay at home, i could definately get used to. the second i stepped into work and heard the evil one's voice, i just wanted to run back to my cozy apartment. it's just SO MUCH BETTER there. hmmmm...maybe i'll leave now and pretend i was never here.

Do you like The Amateur Marriage? I can't decide what I think of it.

it definately isn't in her usual style, espeically the beginning. but after awhile i got pretty into it. i'm not ready to say it was a great book, but i think a good one overall. different too the way that each chapter just kind of ended and we fast forwarded 5-10 years without necessarily resolving anything. but i think i liked that.
