contractual note
for the past 6 years i've kept in my wallet a small piece of paper with a pact written out by myself and one of my best friends at the time, steven. it reads:
if i, steven killiany, win the lottery, i will give meisa khoshbin (or whatever her last name will be at that point) 5% of the total winnings (before taxes). if the winnings are 8 million dollars or over, i will also be willing to consider and for the most part agree to buying her whatever she wants.
signed: steven killiany, july 18th, 1998
we wrote out a similar one for him to keep with me promising him my winnings. we barely keep in touch any more, except for the occasional phone call. i wonder if he still has his. and i wonder if we'll hold each other to the promise if it ever becomes relavent. hmmm...will this piece of paper even hold up in court? who knows, but i'll keep carrying it around, just in case.

It doesn't matter -- I doubt you'd actually take him to court if he did win. :) Or would you?
