the fourth law of thermodynamics: the universe tends towards love
i have befriended someone who hates all. maybe he even hates me, but i don't think he does. yet. he tells me that i have no clue how much hatred he has inside him. seems to me that you can't hate more than a few people because then the word begins to lose meaning. but he claims to hate most everyone he encounters, just at different degrees.
but can we say the same for love? i have tended to use love fairly loosely. by loosely, i mean i have told many of my friends, boyfriends, and relatives that i love them. because i do. but maybe i have been too free with the word. maybe, like hatred, if you love too many people the word begins to lose meaning.
but somehow i don't think this rule holds for the word love. why not? how can it work for the opposite of love, but not for love? maybe just as the the universe tends towards disorder, the world also favors love. the universe becomes a better place, the more love there is. so maybe i haven't been loose enough with the word.
in that case...i love you!

you know, i was once friends with someone who claimed to hate everyone and everything as well. i'm just the opposite and perhaps i throw around the word love too much, but i have to say that i'd much rather live out of love than hate if it comes to choosing. and boy, have i ever been made fun of in the past for being too naive,idealistic,pollyanna-ish...but i don't care, really. i love life and even love people that hate!
