I think I dreamed for about 10 of the 11 hours I was alseep last night (after taking Tylenol Sinus Nighttime, which did absolutely nothing except make me EXTREMELY drowsy) about having to go back to high school because I didn't finish a couple of credits. When I went back, there were all these twentysomethings working there--alumni--in addition to the staff that has been there forever probably. My mind was foggy about what exactly I forgot to take (History? Something requiring a signature from this PE teacher I had back in middle school?) but I kept having to go around the school after it had let out for summer getting these things taken care of. People kept looking at me funny when I told them I earned a college degree...three years ago. And outside of that, everyone was extremely sluggish and frustrating. Ugh.

Wow! I wonder what hidden meaning was going on there?
You should try to find a site that will tell you what it meant!
At least you had your pants on.
Posted by: Dr. Sanders on September 13, 2004 01:10 PMDr. Sanders, you are a funny man.
Posted by: Sania on September 13, 2004 01:58 PMThis is why drugs are bad. :)
Posted by: ez on September 13, 2004 03:15 PMNo, drugs are good. It is in the undrugged dreams that one appears, defenseless, pantsless even, before the disapproving gaze of the entire imaginary high school.
Perhaps it is a test of our moral fiber when we must brave the dreamed corridors of school without drugs or pants...but I digress. For those who wish to pursue the matter, this website has solid information on the subject.

Posted by: Dr. Sanders on September 13, 2004 04:54 PMMaybe that dream means that you feel that you have not reached the point where you want to be and have backtracked career-wise... who knows.
Posted by: Myk on September 13, 2004 06:03 PMMyk--I appreciate the interpretation! I have this dream at least once a week and it creeps me out for the rest of the day.
Posted by: Sarah on September 13, 2004 06:50 PMall dream analysis aside (reliable as it maybe--especially on the internet), i have one thing to say about all this:
avoid all medication containing the letters P & M in caps and in succession. i generally endorse western medicine and i believe in drugs--given you're taking the right ones at the right times for the right symptoms.
but my experience with sleep-inducing drugs (especially over the counter ones) indicates that they do not bring relief--rather, they bring nothing but grief (no rhyme intended). discomfort and delirium WITHOUT sleep pretty much equals grief as far as i'm concerned. and unnerving dreams such as the one lacey had seem pretty grievous as well. i blame it all on the tylenol PM!
so all i have to say about all this is: death to tylenol PM and all its cousins that are made by different brands but are just as evil.
Posted by: nas on September 13, 2004 09:05 PMHmm...I'll just avoid the whole pants issue because those dreams are just really terrifying. Perhaps that's why I keep having them. I mean, I know people who have them. Right.
And I haven't taken any more medicine since I took that. I also haven't been to the doc. Maybe I should do one or the other, but part of me wants to steer clear of both.
