About
This is a picture of me in Haifa, Israel at the Shrine of the Bab. December, 2004. What you came here to learn: "Lacey Graves Gerard is an illustrator and painter in Chicago. She posesses a degree in graphic design from the University of Georgia in Athens that she obtained in the summer of 2001 and has since been using her skills to serve the Baha'i Faith's National Offices in Evanston, IL. Mrs. Gerard is the curator of the website lay-c.com and is an avid supporter of the weblog as an art form and as a community-building tool. In her "spare" time, she makes paintings in watercolor and ink, surfs the interweb, plays DDR, laughs, and pokes fun at her husband. She enjoys figurative studies, the verb "crop," and the identification of miscellaneous typography on street signs." Other interests: knitting, comic books, photography, and traveling. I have learned 2 things in life which are unequivocally true. From Dad: never assume anything. From Mom: always listen to that little voice. My parents are very wise people.

Note: I experienced some problems with lay-c.com around October of 2002, forcing my archived entries outside of the scope of the version of Movable Type I am currently running (not MTs fault, it was my mistake). Therefore, there are a year's worth of entries before October of 2002 not included in the count above. They are still permalinked here, they are just not included in my current MT database. If you would like to pay for a piece of art you have arranged to purchase, please click the button below. If you have not made arrangements to buy a piece of art, please know that you will just be giving me money and not receiving a piece of art in return. If you are interested in a particular piece, please email me (lay-c AT lay-c DOT com) and ask about availablility. Thanks!
