Kind of down

We all watched the game this afternoon. And had our hearts broken just a little bit. I'll admit it, I'm bummed. I thought that if the Bears won, I'd quickly focus on the fact that we made it this far and that I wouldn't be too down. Maybe tomorrow. For now, I'm focusing on that awesome touchdown Reggie Bush made.

We watched it too and felt the same dissapointment but also some happiness that they got that far. Reggie made an awesome touchdown and you could feel the spirit of the city when they played. It would have been nice to win but there's always next year!

At least we can root for Peyton to beat the Bears at the Superbowl. It's a good consolation prize.

I was a bit sad myself. The comments from the coach were even depressing. They made it this far though!

We were cheering for the saints so a little bit of disappointment up North.

At least the Colts won, that made at least me happy!

Same here... it was a rough day all around! I'm very proud of the Saints, though. I honestly, in my heart, believed that they'd go all the way. In my mind, it had nothing to do with sports and everything with karma.

I've tried to be a good sport about it, although I can't help but think that if the Bears had lost, all those poor Chicago folks would have to look forward to was a bleak, awfully cold, grey winter. We have the colors and energy of Mardi Gras (not to mention temperatures above freezing and days with enough light to create shadows). So maybe the universe had to throw them a bone to perk up their dreary winter...?

sorry about the loss, Shok. you know i'm not a football fan. but, i am a fan of most things chicago. so, i appreciate the kind sentiments in holly's comment.

i do have to report that every urban music station here, while cheering for the bears, was also saying "but, be nice to the new orleans fans. they've been through too much." and most mentions of last week's game came with a reminder about the hurricane.
