Looking back

Tonight, on the eve of my baby's first birthday, I'm in shock and awe. He walks, for goodness sake!

I remember sitting here very pregnant last year as I read the wonderful news of MrMan's arrival. I remember his birth making me very excited about meeting my daughter.

And here we all are, one year later. It went WAY to fast.

Happy birthday, Mr.Man! I am all teary just thinking of how fast a year can go by. (Weren't you just born, like, yesterday??)

And congratulations, Shokufeh and Sam! I am a big believer that first birthdays should be as much a celebration of the parents as of the kid. You made it through the first 12 months--and you have an amazing little boy to show for your efforts. Don't forget to toast yourselves today!
