Today, I showered. Third day in a row. Like I said, progress.
Posted by Shokufeh at December 24, 2005 11:23 PMThis shower issue is a big deal - congratulations on your three-peat! I'm so glad I've got a moment to check your blog, seeing as how I've been up since 4:30 or so and it's 7:30 now.
How are you getting your shower? When Paula was that age Joel was gone a lot so I either took a bath with her in the big tub, held her in my arms while I took a shower (amazing how you can reach your underarm with the same side hand!) or sometimes put her in the bouncy chair. She didn't have lots of patience, so those were really quick showers.
Now I know there's a sling (I think it's branded Solarveil) so you can safely wear your baby in the shower or pool. But I just held Paula in my arms.
Anyway, happy showering! Hey, maybe I should call you... What is it, 3:30 there? You might be up, too :)
Posted by: Juliet at December 25, 2005 07:39 AMOh, how I remember those days...and I'll be revisiting them before long (just 14 more weeks). Glad to hear things are going well with MrMan :-)
Basically, I take a shower when Sam is home. Even when my mom was here, I didn't get around to showering that much. I guess it's priorities - as icky as I might feel, I'm usually hungrier or sleepier. I think some sort of waterproof food would be great so you can shower while eating.
We are, indeed, four hours behind, Juliet. But MrMan is pretty good about going to sleep right after eating in the night hours, so we're not awake too much. Yay for that.
Wow - the joys of motherhood. :) It is probably nice to have priorities in life change.
