Getting there

I venture to say that, as far as the apartment is concerned, we're almost ready for Bean's arrival. Say, if I went into labor right now (which I am not wishing), I wouldn't be very concerned about the things that are outstanding.

This weekend we:

  • assembled the baby carrier and stroller

  • installed the car seat base

  • had the installation of the car seat checked

  • bought the cosleeper and set it up on my side of the bed (my late-night trips to the bathroom are only a smidge more awkward)

  • bought fabric for my mom to make more sheets for the cosleeper

  • sorted through the abundance of baby clothes we've been given

  • returned some of the abundance (something I feel a little bad about, but there was no way Bean was going to get through all of those outfits)

  • went to lamaze class (class 2 of 5)
  • Still to do:

  • throw out all the boxes that contained the baby goods

  • organize the baby goods

  • wash the baby clothes we're keeping

  • pack my bag for the hospital

  • prepare what I can related to baby announcements

  • buy some nursing shirts

  • go on a last few dates with my honey, with whom friendship started in earnest seven years ago today

Thanks for helping me with my to-do list.

My word, you two are so on top of things! I was still moving into my house and unpacking when I was what, thirty-some weeks along with the little man. That could have been bad. Better safe than sorry! My brother-in-law's sister just delivered a full month early and they were all completely caught off guard. Thankfully the little guy is healthy and doing quite well though.

Oh, how I remember those days SO well!!!!! :) Seemed like there was a TON to do before Lucas's arrival. I was worried about getting everything all set, but it all was totally fine, of course! :) You have *so* much to look forward to. I'm so excited for you guys! :)

Hey, Joel's and my getting-to-know-eachother anniversary is October 7! We just celebrated 11 years. Although it was mainly by saying, "Happy Anniversary, honey. See you later."

Congratulations on getting so much stuff out of the way beforehand. So when Bean arrives you can just relax and enjoy your babymoon :)
