Waddler

This week, two different people, in completely different settings, commented on my waddle. So, I guess it must be true - I have entered the waddling stage.

Lord help me, that sounds so unflattering. But what's a girl to do when she's:

  • carrying an extra almost-20 pounds

  • developing even wider hips than before

  • shifted her center of gravity - the belly is now bigger than the boobs, and maybe even bigger than the butt

  • trying to walk without aggravating the sciatica in her left buttock - impossible, but a girl's got to try

    • And it's easier on the clothes than the next stage - the rolling one, when Sam, or any kind stranger, will have to give me a push in the appropriate direction.

    Aw :-) Next you'll be walking around with your hand permanently holding your sore lower back (or perhaps you already are?). That seems to be a common way for pregnant women to walk.

    Hannah, sadly enough, it's not my back I clutch as I walk - it's my butt. But even in my hormonally charged state, I recognize that this is not an appropriate part of the anatomy to handle in public. So I save it for my jaunts around the office. Good thing I've worked here a while now.

    Man, I'd like to be able to clutch my butt in public. But I'm not willing to get pregnant to justify it!

    Just wanted to give a quick "Hi!" and thanks for stopping by my site 2 weeks back...I know, I know, I'm so late at doing this but the exhaustion that was supposed to leave at the 2nd Trimester has decided to stick around! Thanks for the encouragement though...I was relating to your entry on June 14 called FAQ as I have had to answer questions 1-3 plenty of times! Great site though, plan on keeping up with you.
