Garden State

Since seeing Garden State on Sunday, I've been constantly thinking about it. I've been listening to its website while waiting to get the soundtrack. I've perused Zack Braff's blog. (I've never been a fan of Scrubs, but I may start watching it out of appreciation for him.) I replay moments of the movie in my mind. I think about the different things I took away from it, one of which ties in to what I was thinking after reading a recent entry of Andrea's: I need to let go of my self and connect with people more. Who says I shouldn't talk to someone I've never met and with whom I happen to be sharing air? Maybe it will be awkward. Maybe there will be failed attempts. Maybe there will be dirty looks. But won't the magic of connecting with another human being be worth it?

yes, it's worth it.
i wish Mojan would post more tales from her commutes to work -- never heard any better motivation to talk to people in public that Moj's stories. Mojan, if you read this, tell us one about Tito!

i've been ranting [not on ze blog tho] about how possibly it is that the # of new med students here shoots off. not that there were prerequisites [?] to be met, but there are also people who think they are rock stars...
and while i am still trying to figure out the punchlines of scrubbs [i see parallels to ally mcbeal, only that lawyers are out?], you point to that blog :) i am not sure if i'd be happy about a constant zillion comments? they're investing a hell of a money in this - can you imagine the bandwidth that's used.

[...and so mademoiselle a. enters into geek talk and useless musings and meanderings, while we kindly blend out the scene...]
