Panic mode

I'm not in panic mode at the moment, but I was thinking about what happens when I am:
In recent months, it has come to my attention that when I am panicked and frenzied, an unpleasant and intense odor manifests itself. Not from my armpits, or my feet, or any of those other body parts one tends to associate with unpleasant odors.

From my sternum. Or, rather, the skin that covers my sternum. I find this strange. As you might guess, suddenly having a stinky sternum does nothing to assuage my panic and frenzy.

Too much information?

stinky sternum sounds like a really bad name you would give to your kid if your last name was sternum.
like harry pitts!

no, not tmi. a little weird, but not tmi. stinky sternum would be a great band name too. "now appearing live and in person, stinky sternum is opening for alice in chains."

or a great name for a cartoon character... the adventures of spongebob squarepants and stinky sternum...

i wonder if, after reading your blog, some marketing exec will realize there's a... market... for sternum fragrance. lose weight, whiten your teeth and keep your sternum smelling nice.

That -is- funny, Kari.
That's the strange part, Stef - there doesn't seem to be a correlation with sweatiness.

It's adenoids...the same we have under armpits, or way further down, just that people usually are unaware of it. The skin can smell different when you're sweating, in panick, or especially when you're having the period.
Why do you think women are so crazy for men's sternum? Also, heehee, there is an old poem by Hafiz, where the manly sternum is described as smelling like musk :) Mo' information? ;)

Maybe it's genetic.
