Free fruit

Last night, I ate a mango that I found in the parking lot of the apartment building next door. It fell from the tree, not from someone's grocery bag. This excites me. It seems just so... Hawaii.
Even though it's not what I am usually able to do.

Ohh - you have mangos falling from trees in Hawaii? I didn't know there weere mangos, for some reason I connect them with Asia rather than other tropical/sub tropical countries (yet I know we have them in Israel). How nice ... everyone in Haiwaii would cringe of laughter about my desperate attempts to grow a mango tree in cold Europe :)

Yeah, we have quite a few varieties of mango here. Most of them seem to be on the rather small side. And not nearly enough are within my grasp. Usually, the closest we come to each other is me gazing fondly at them in the market, and then catching sight of the price, and walking away.
I think my favorite mango memories are those associated with the Gambia. Mmm,mmm, good.
