I thought I'd share my new-found knowledge.
I just learned a word that you think I would already know, since it's a synonym for fever: pyrexia.
The related adjectives are pyrexial and pyrexic.
Pyretic is an adjective for what's causing the fever.
As in, My Strep infection was pyretic.
Ha! Pyrex dishes ;) DUH, so logic....thanks, I've constructed a new synapsis.

Posted by: +mojan. at September 23, 2003 04:44 AMcould you say "i have a pyrexia" like you would "i have a fever"? or would it be "i have pyrexia"?
happy birthday, by the way!
Hi Shok --
Couldn't find your e-mail address so I sent google looking for you. Happy 30th!
Just finished class about a 1/2 hour ago, so I'm kind of exhausted right now. (Today was Restoration colonies, slavery and the Caribbean sugar colonies, and the Carolinas. Cool, if sobering, stuff.)
Talk to you more when I have a bit more energy --
Mark
P.S. Say hi to Sam for me.
P.P.S. Your site is way cool.
Posted by: Mark T. at September 23, 2003 01:04 PMThanks Mark and Meisa!
It's been a good one so far.
Mojan, I think you have pirates on the brain. How'd your speaking like one go?
Anissa, I was pretty excited when I realized the Pyrex connection, though it took me until last night, when I was saying the word aloud that I noticed it.
