For some time now, I've been wanting to tell you about my new eyeliner. Not that I really had an old one. Sure, over the years, I've bought eyeliner, applied it, had the product drip down to my chin, and then left it to collect dust on my dresser. But I've never been a regular eyeliner wearer. I'm not a regular makeup wearer, actually. I'm all about the sleep in the morning. And I never really learned how to apply it. And then there's the aforementioned drip-down-to-my-chin issue, which can be generalized to most makeup on me.
But, I have discovered an eyeliner that I actually like to put on, and that stays on my eyelids. I still don't wear it that much (due to the all-about-sleep characteristic), but I look forward to it. It's the Maybelline Ultra Liner (Waterproof). It goes on smoothly, even for the inexperienced such as myself. It's easy to apply a thin line - key for someone like me who's into subtlety when it comes to makeup. And it doesn't come off until you're ready for it to. It also cost less than $5.
The only drawback I could find is that it is a little difficult to remove. So throw in another couple bucks for the waterproof eyemakeup remover, and make sure it sits on the eyes for a bit before swiping with the cottonball.
I am running out of my supply of Canadian issue Boss Woman (well..you are what you smell like!) and while I liked it, I am in the mood for something a little kickier. Something still feminine, but with more of an edge, but not musky. (YUCK! My most UNfavorite scent is Patchouli...*cough gag*). So I think after trying sampling MAC's new fragrance line, Hugo Deep Red, and Chanel Chance, I've decided to go with Deep Red. I just love it. It's got vanilla undertones but isn't sweet. It really smells good on.
The MAC line is cool because all three of the new fragrances have a vanilla base--one is spicy, one is sweet, one is floral, etc. But they wear off quickly and it just doesn't smell like me. I think gals who enjoy wearing grommets in their belts would probably like these.
Chanel Chance smells like it needs to go on a woman with maturity, not me. But it's still nice.
