Recognition

I know being a stay-at-home parent shouldn't need vindication, but not everyone sees it as a valuable job (much less the most important job). It's refreshing, then, to see the choice to raise children full time supported with semi-empirical studies. This one's for you, mom.

george, this is awesome. makes me think of my mom, too... she raised 5 kids on her own (all girls, each of us a handful in our own way).

this also is comforting to me as i think about my future, since i know i wanna stay home with my kids, but i also need to have a career. so it's awesome to think about what my time and energy will really be worth when i do take years out to be a full-time mom... especially since 125K is about how much a lawyer can make fresh out of school anyway. :)

Um, would you mind spreading a lil' bit of that dough out my way? I'm languishing on the GS scale.

And yes. I'm sure the five of you _were_ a handful. ;p

It puts things into perspective, doesn't it? Wow.
