Puffy Little Shoes

I'm entirely too fond of posting pictures of clouds. This one was a harbinger of the rains we've had over the past two days. What is a mood, and why is mine so easily affected by the lack of sunlight?

What do you see in this cloud? I see Puerto Rico. I guess the reason I like clouds is their ability to stir the imagination, like giant morphing canvases in the sky. What appeals, too, is their ephemeral nature. This cloud existed only once in the history of the universe. And I was there to see it.

as much as you liked chicago, i say it's a good thing you don't live here. before i moved here, i was told to buy a bright happy bedspread, because it would be gray 9 months out of the year. blah!

your cloud posting reminds me of when i was a kid and i'd see the clouds moving. i used to think that it was actually that i was seeing the earth moving, while the clouds were stationary.

Meisa, I think you're right about the Chicago weather. I hope that's not why the lagoon is taking a hiatus. You'll be happy to know, however, that I have a plan in place to transplant the city of Chicago to the Florida coast. The committee has completed deliberations and we're on to the budgeting phase.

budget away, baby! put the plan in motion, even!! i'd be *so* up for a relocation to the sunshine state, but i just can't let go of this amazing city and all it has to offer.

love the cloud photo. i've been taking similar ones my whole life as well. and also, i'm happy to be back and sitting down to brekkie. i missed my blog buddies. btw... i think chicago's pretty sunny. freaking cold, but fairly frequented by the sun. and i'm from texas, so that counts for something. :)
