my, how time flies

Especially when you're having fun. Although I'd hardly call the work I'm doing pure "fun" - nevertheless, as you well know, I have a penchant for making any kind of activity supah fun. So, there.

What is up, yo?! Let me tell you something. It is sunny outside today, not a cloud in the sky except your random stray cumulus cloud every few hours, it's hovering around 60 degrees, and it's Saturday. I am sitting at Bongo Java (an awesome little cafe I frequent) enjoying a decaf soy mochahontas and an egg sandwich with a friend, reading my most favorite book in the whole world right now (Field Notes on the Compassionate Life by Marc Ian Barasch), and truthfully - even though there are so many things I could list that are not 100% "on" just now - I am supremely happy. Whatever that means.

And after all... finding what happiness means for me is what this journey is about anyway. So, yeah.

There is so much more underneath the surface here. This will have to suffice for now until I can find my writer's voice again. I think I hear it whispering... I'm going to try to get it to speak up a bit.

alright, alright

Here's the scoop. I am experimenting (out of necessity) with being computer-less (at home anyway) for a while. There's still the Kinko's a few miles from home (where I am right now) in case I have withdrawal symptoms. The downside is less frequent blogging, less frequent surfing, less frequent distraction from what I'm trying to do with my life. Oh wait - did I say downside?

It's interesting, though, how much we depend on good ol' technology. And the convenience of having it at our fingertips whenever we want it. I'm rather enjoying my temporary return to pen and paper, though. There is something so fulfilling about penstrokes on paper, the ink forming beautiful curves that mean something, that have a message. Especially with my writing, I may stick with the traditional form of actually writing instead of typing.

Anyway. Yeah. So, there. I'll be back in the blogosphere soon.
