how they do it

I cannot get enough of the television show "How It's Made" on Discovery's Science Channel. I have learned about how they (whoever 'they' are) make polyethylene pipe, hardwood floors, mattresses, blackboards, zippers, artificial limbs, peanut butter, electric guitar amps, and more. So much more. WOW!

I know. I'm such a geek. I'm ok with that.

And... I had to find SOMETHING to replace "Judging Amy" since they aired its last season's finale today. For the record, I would totally have voted for Judge Gray if she ran for Senate. Yup. AND... how cool is it that Maxine gets to hook up with Cheech Marin? Too cool.

Waiting waiting, oooohhhhhhh, waiting...yes I'm waiting, but I'm not the only one who is waiting...patientlyyyyyyyyy.

anybody home?

I want to know everything!!!

well, andrew, it just so happens that many of these fabulous shows are available to you online, either on the network's website or via the ever-present youtube. so, there.

Man! Wish I had cable!

yeah, moj - cheech marin! his character's name is ignacio messina. i love his character. he is so totally classy.

and thank you, sholeh and glenn, for weighing in. awesome is right.

george - lol! i loved seeing the crayon factory!

and lay-c - i'm a step ahead of you. sci-fi channel has a heroes marathon on saturday, in preparation for the season finale next week. i am all over it. dvr is already set to record. yup.

but i have to admit, ugly betty never quite caught my fancy, and i lost respect for smallville at the beginning of this season. so sad. ah well. i have plenty of other shows to watch. and really, i'm looking forward to not watching for a while.

Okay, I've watched more tv in the past year than I care to admit (multitasking all the way...), so I'd recommend if you haven't done it already to acquire/watch online all the episodes of Heroes, Ugly Betty, and Smallville. Those are my picks for now. I would recommend Grey's Anatomy, too, but for some reason I grew uninterested a few weeks ago. The Office also has it's moments of awesomeness, sure to make your coworkers roll on the floor laughing.

Oooooh, sounds perfect for the kid who grew up watching Mr. Rogers take tours of the crayon factory.

Cheech Marin? Seriously?

Well, Sholeh got the first half of that adjectival phrase right. :P

um, that show sounds ridiculously awesome.
