thinking about...

  • writing the next chapter... and realizing i have NO idea what comes next in this story
  • how not knowing what comes next makes me feel really anxious right now
  • the possibility of graduate school... and the possibility of moving from chicago
  • how i'm going to handle shoveling snow and parking outside for the next four or five months - and how this might need to be my LAST winter of doing that!
  • the noisy neighbor who moved in across the hall and how i might have to smack him upside the head if he slams his door one more time today
  • opportunities and possibilities
  • good (great!) times this past weekend
  • how amazing aquatic ecosystems are
  • what i need to pack for my three-week trip to warmer weather this coming month
  • getting some food - i'm hungry!

Wow. We have so much catching up to do! Possibly moving? Three weeks of warm weather? Aquatic ecosystems? Sigh. I miss you.

Me too! Pack me up.

And Brian, you are a RIOT. They don't fluff pillows on the moon. I'm remembering that one.

all y'all crack me up. but especially you, bri bri. haha.

i am going to cali and then hawaii for a few weeks - helping coordinate a couple of retreats like the one i did in june. yeah. if you've got to work, might as well have to travel to hawaii for work, i say. you can quote me on that. he he.

and yes, sonia - you and imani can definitely come with me!! i would love that.

Where are you going? Can Imani and I fit in your suitcase, PLEASE!!!???

I'm with Kari, missin' the "D" I think we should go play worrlie (sp?) ball or lazer tag soon. Speaking of aquatic systems, I just woke up from falling asleep in front of my radiater which is on high, and woke up IN some kind of aquatic system that I seemed to have made in my sleep!! isn't that fasinating! Oh wait, seriously, the aquarium would rock as a fun activity to. I haven't been there in awhile and LOVE fish, though I'm TOTALLY afraid of the penguins (they eat little kids, I was almost eaten when I was younger, so...) It might also be fun to make leave piles o'er by the lake, climb to the very top of a tree and jump in!! wee!!! and a THREE-FRICKIN'-WEEK trip!! sweet holy Jesus, where are you goin' the MOON!!!???? I've stayed there, bad room-service, and they don't fluff pillows, don't go! don't go!

you've got a big car. you'll do fine. i only had to shovel out twice last year. and on the worst day, two nice young college students were driving by in a van and stopped to help. people get very neighborly in those conditions.

miss you, d!

Yeah. Gotta love those aquatic ecosystems.
