shocking
Well, well, well. If it isn't me, back in the blogosphere if only for a brief moment.
There is plenty more to come - on surfing, rest and relaxation, new friends, new directions and ideas. Right now, though, I'm still adjusting to life back on the mainland - STRIKINGLY different from life on the islands. Or at least the island I visited and could quite possibly call home one day in the future. For at least a while...
But back to my culture shock. I have been driving around for the past few days (having arrived back in Chicago on Wednesday morning) wondering why it is, exactly, that I live here? Thank goodness I'm in the city these days (vs. the suburbs) or I think I'd just go mad.
And thank goodness for AWESOME friends - new and old - who are the exact reason I live here. If only I could magically transplant them to the magical island of Maui... ah, yes. An evil plot is being hatched at this moment. Mwa haha.

hmmmm... magically transport all your friends to maui? see magical maui fitness palace here: http://lay-c.com/nas/archives/001996.html.
maybe we could also add in a rocket-launching facility on a nearby island, george could commute to work on a small ship, and we could all live on the beach.
truly, there's a way for all of us to live and work there. island livelihood is the way to go. and i'd be happy to host this massive happy-island living arrangement. just holla at me. :)

Welcome home! I'm down for a Maui vacation...but in the meanwhile, think about heading out west - we miss you and your 'niece' is waiting to meet you.

I've often wished the same thing, to have all my friends in the same place. You find a way to launch rockets from magically delicious Hawaii and get all the cool people to live there, and BAM! I'm there.
