delara delara delara!
As I sat at my computer last night, staring blankly in disbelief, I came to a bittersweet realization - I am not as unique as I thought I was. Boo.
How did I come to this conclusion? Well, go ahead and do a Google search on Delara. You'll find Brian and Delara's wedding, Delara Adams' entries on Bootsnall.com, The House of Delara line of perfumes and other fine products, the Delaware Amateur Radio Association, Delara so and so's online journal (not mine) and many other interesting website entries from Formula One car models to a communications company called DeLara Communications. Nothing even remotely resembling anything about me or my life are anywhere in the first 25+ pages of the search results. Hmph.
So, the sad reality nestled into my brain for the evening and I was left in a funk. What is that quote I vaguely recall? Something about how there is no one better than you in the world and you are not better than anyone else?
Yeah, yeah. Alas...

HAHA this is crazy, im delara too...are all you delaras iranian too? i didnt think ANYONE else in america had my name..i thought my parents made it up. we should make a delara club. anyway cya.

Whoa...I haven't done a search on my name since some other girl named Delara married Brian. I'm the one who writes for Bootsnall.com and also has the blog. Funny though, the old blog site is the only one that shows up on Google. It's somewhat comforting to know that other people out there have the same rad name as us, no? And moveable type does kick arse.
Seriously, don't you wonder how many Delara's there actually are?

hey juliet - thanks, woman! i'm so flattered. or is that just flat??!? kidding. i use the fabulous movable type software, which is super easy to use and free to download. i customized the look and colors myself - if i had more time i'd do more. but it is what it is for now. check out movable type though - it's very cool to use. cheers!
