Dearest Blog-o-sphere:
The Ferris Wheel Junkie has disembarked. Many many things in my life are preparing for change, for a new more permanent world. Even things as fleeting as my internet presence have taken shape of late with the acquistion of http://www.aberator.com.
If you would be so kind as to redirect your browsers and links to that spot, you will find all is not lost for the ride - things look good on the ground.
Smooches,
Still a Junkie, Abs
But Good News Folks!!! Abbelicious Jr Lives!!! My PC is well and happy again. One brand new IXE cable later. Of course I went to the store looking for a PCI cable not knowing that is only it's slot on the mother board. Riiight. Whatever dude, it only cost me 10 bucks and it only took a total of 2 minutes to fix. Figuring out that that was what my error message meant, however took 2 days.
a-whoohoo.
My dot.com address is working. You may now officially re-establish me on the web at aberator.com.
New name - new tone? I've rarely graced politics on this here blog, and probably will continue to act in that manner - but this made me laugh and well, terminator rhymes with aberator.
As for the political reference - for the record I agree with Karen England from the Capitol Resource Institute (to say the least as usual). Any girly man....
The tinted office windows have the blinds pulled over them today - gloomier than ever inside the cubed up floor. The first day back after a hoilday is generally inordinately busy but I think the tinted light may have helped not distracted... however for me, it seems proper today.
This entire long weekend was beseiged with allergy attacks, headaches, itchy eyes, nose and chest and nap time. A few good things were accomplished but at the end all I remember is being drugged and miseable. Monday also brought me another test I dilike instenselly. After salvaging the day however, and feeling generally ok with myself and life again, came home to find my best friend kaput. Abbelicious Jr - (the PC) screaming obscenities at me about not finding her hard drive. We calmed ourselves and then attempted a re-start at which point she spit up a Boot Failure System Halted. Nooooo Goood. No no no good. Please think good thoughts for her health
Also work related - I kept wondering when we'd hear from Hurricane affected areas. Eventually the idea of Health Insurance had to kick in right? A here we go, one week later. I've only had one call so far, but they are likely to increase as are the chills and heartbreak as you speak to these souls with pre-existing medical conditions who now have no home either. Ahh jeez.
And as things already feel so dark today, I refuse to get into all the crap we are surrounded by making this challenge to the growth of society all the more troubling. God's will, people. We will get there one way or another.
I've been 25 for almost a full week and havent even mentioned it - what have I become?
I've always had that kid inside me that wants to associate something fun and adventurous with her birthday - but over the years I'm starting to remember that stuff brings headaches too and it's better to just be relaxed and happy, period. This was actually accomplished this year. Thanks in large part to my wonderful wonderful fiance.
First there wasa most excellent brunch at Fred's Inn. Then we decided to take the long way home thru towns like Norwich and Oneonta. Then it was off to take the tour at Howe Caverns (which I havent done since I was about 9 years old).
Quality time with my love, a unique tourist spot and excellent food.... what more do you need in a day?
