Yes, I'm cheesy and self-loathing enough to do a year-in-review post.
2004 had the Aberator -
- spending more time with her family than she has cumulitively since High School.
- Going to a mere 8 concerts/shows. (my per concert capital spending definetly went down this year...)
- Making no great economic strides. Changing jobs and ending up working at the Holiday Inn (chilling, if you will).
- Serving on a Local Spiritual Assembly for the first time.
- Making my first Pilgrimage to the Baha'i Holy Land. - Which also brought the Aberator off the continental United States for the first time.
... and a whole slew of other small, not small, exciting, un-exciting, frustrating, fun, etc events that make up another Gregorian year of my life.
And now some pictures that did not make it to the blog the first time around.

a this way comes. It's official. Mark your calendars fools - July 16th. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince (Book 6) is due to be in mine and millions of others hands. Woohoo!
Now the question remains, how badly did the newest director do with putting Goblet of Fire into film form and will it really come to the screen the same month the new book comes to stores?
And how sad is it that though I'm half way done with two books, I'm tempted to pick a Harry Potter book off the shelf and read them instead?
I was addicted to 90210 in high school, Dawsons Creek and Felicity in college, and now that I'm older than all that, there's The OC. And thank goodness for it. I love that show! The second season started off a bit on the miss side of hit or miss, but the Chrismukkah episode was fantastic, and the rest of the season looks very promising.
Chrismukkuh, a self invented holiday of Seth Cohen is time of joy, a time of unity. And to quote one of the parts of the show that had me rolling on the floor last night "just think of the possibilites here: Eastover, Kwanzashanah, Hallmark needs me"
I've decided however, that my Chrismukkuh wish is for there to be a way to catch up on Lost, so I can keep watching. I caught the re-run of the pilot this week, and yes, folks, it's all it's cracked up to be.
I promise there is more on my mind than baseball's hot stove reports - but I gotta report on this for all those readers who only watched the playoffs and World Series (look a name you've heard!): Pedro Martinez is now a NY Met. How hot is that? This morning I listened to the press conference on Metsblog.com.
Mostly my life has been all about what movies I rented from Hollywood Video this week (or half week, depending on how fast I go through em); the daily routine and not a lot else. I've been dreaming like crazy this week, but nothing to blog about.
ps- the second paragraph is for my Mother who emailed me to complain the following: "Hasn't anything gone on in your world since Dec 9?". A few minutes ago when I was about to blog anyway, I realized that she was referring to this very webpage not being updated with content in the last week. Oh the horror. I do apologize for not having a more exciting plethora of blog topics at the current juncture.
There's never a lack of juicy news to munch on. Recently I've realized how as a baseball fan you're never at a lack for news - no matter how far from Opening day it is. Seems each year I follow the Mets and the MLB as a whole more closely.
This winter has already proved to be interesting, lots of big name players on the table.
Every season there's always atleast one trade that makes ya sad for the player or your franchise - you can't be in agreement with the team management all the time. Here's a shout out to Al Leiter, from a Mets fan who'll definetly miss em.
Hammerstein is where we're at tonight, gotta feelin that I'm doin it, doin it right....
Dear Marc, Chris, Richard, Benj and Jerry:
I think you probably know this, but I felt the need for an open letter anyhow; Hammerstein 2004 was exceptional! My gratitude is endless. The shows were superior. Even The crowd was fairly well behaved. Friday nights treat of two brand new songs was well recieved. Can't wait to hear the finished products come the new album this spring. Thanks for being so tireless when it comes to giving us new music.
Saturday, well words don't do that show justice. It was obvious you truly put thought an effort into crafting a true fan's show and that in itself just blows me away. Just the gigundo smile on Andy Wonder's face told us how special a night it was. Thanks for all the love, and from the bottom of our hearts - right back atcha.
All the best,
Snoopy
ps- Have you seen two happier, sweatier fans ever? Also thanks to the hot security guy, side of stage right, for being so good to us.
pps- Who gets ya movin?
....of a revolution
