Notes

I watch entirely too much tv for someone who never does. But hey atleast this up-swing in viewing comes at season finale time. Isn't the finale the best time to catch up?

The good news - I'm feeling healed enough to sit for short periods of time and even drive. The annoying news - I have to continue to wear the hip binder until next Tuesday. The good/bad news - that also means the doc doesnt want me back at work til next wednesday. Mmmm, more boredom, excess television and general anticipation of normal life again.

Movies Rented: The Life Aquatic, Hotel Rwanda, Closer, The Notebook, National Treasure, Oceans 12, Shark Tale, Lemony Snicketts A Series of Unfortunate Events. Movies still to rent/watch: Alfie, In Good Company. Have I missed anything new to video release?

Also on the entertainment upside is that it's well into baseball season and Time Warner and Cablevision settled finally - so I have MSG and FSNY on cable again - meaning all the Mets games I can possibly watch. This weekend is the first Subway series. After that the Mets go on to battle the Braves then the Marlins. Whew, what a week of good games. (Dammit if I didnt have to go back to work) Besides all that - the Mets have actually be something to watch this year. I like Big Willie style, thats for sure.

Also in the meanwhile that I've been away from daily functioning - Citizens Bank finished swallowing Charter One. So, Citizens is now my bank. We'll see what this means yet. I despised Charter One and continually made vows to take my money elsewhere. So far I do like Citizens online banking better, and they seem a smidge quicker with the transactions. I do however want to puke at their marketing choices. First, the color green they use is horrible, and the extra big fonts and smiley faces on things have got to go. Maybe I just have too much time to think about it though.

And finally - my most appreciated posesion lately: Jason Mraz Live (at Java Joes, 2001). Hands down, the best cd to calm your mind for sleep.
