the weather channel
You know all those shots you see on the weather channel of flooded areas in the south or midwest that seem so unbelievable? Yeah well, they still are to me, being a spoiled Northeasterner (ya know, where we have actual landscape changes that make for runoff of rain). However, this morning I awoke to heavy rain and thunder and within a few minutes we had our very own lil flood. Our street is the let off point for a local state route, and so we tend to get a few more cars than other nearby streets... thus making for excellent morning entertainment.
yeah, you know i bet the weather channel won't be showing your street. notice how they always seem to show places that don't apply to you? i was so angry in the midst of tornadoes when they were only showing a program on storm stories. i've found the local news is definately the way to go. but it is a lovely channel to fall asleep to.
